The result was amazing; my daughter was thrilled. -Emily W. Westford MA, 2023: We found Steve last year for a few sessions of Algebra 1 help when my children moved to a school district where the curriculum was more advanced than their previous school. He really helped with the material as well as boosting their confidence. This year in geometry, after a very disappointing quiz score in the thick of that very thorny chapter of proofs, my daughter remembered Steve from last year. In one meeting, Steve assessed her approach and weak areas and helped her develop a “strategy,” as my daughter put it, or a logical plan of attack, for the proofs in the end of chapter test. This not only helped with her technique, but it was also great for her confidence going into the test. The result was amazing; my daughter was thrilled. We both whole-heartedly recommend finding Steve for help and will be back again when the next big challenge crops up.

• March: My son got a 95 on the electrical circuits lab.  Thanks for jumping into helping him with the material a few weeks ago. His average went from a C- to a B+ in that time so out of the danger zone.  More important he's understanding the subject. 

• April: He got an 89 or B+ in Physics for Q3, which ended last Friday. He is more than pleased with the improvement since he started tutoring with you, as we are!

• May: My son got a 91 in Q4 in Physics so he doesn't have to take the senior final next week.   The other grades he had this quarter were all A's.  Definitely a reason to celebrate his good work. Thanks to you for all your help each and every week you have tutored him!! I know he would not have gotten the grades he did in Q3 or Q4, or had the senior final waived, without your physics support.

"Excellent Tutor - 9th grade honors algebra   - Denise F. from Marlborough, MA

Steve did an excellent job this year with our son on 9th grade honors algebra. Steve identified the areas that our son had not mastered in the first marking period and did a review and teaching of that material to get him understanding and up to speed. Steve then aligned his weekly work with our son to match the lessons and materials that was current in school (Steve got a copy of the text book on his own to prepare the weekly tutoring session.) He also set up a home study plan for our son. In total Steve did about eight tutoring sessions (one per week with our son). The result has been that our son went from a D in the first marking period to a B in the second marking period. He also has become more motivated to succeed in his math, and as a result Steve and we agreed that we could stop his tutoring sessions; but if he has any difficulties in the future we will certainly utilize Steve again. Steve was very flexible and accommodating to schedules and length of session as needed, and is a very nice guy. Highly recommended."  (Indeed, we did restart tutoring again later in the year)
