Prof Ignatius Gous

Prof Ignatius Gous is a professor at the University of South Africa (Unisa) and specialises in the field of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. His specialisation focuses on habits, attitudes, and techniques to assist learners to master the skills of active learning.​

Prof Gous has collaborated with specialists and theorists on Mind, Brain, and Education at universities such as Harvard in the United States of America, Melbourne in Australia, the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, the Higher School of Economics in Russia, and Shanghai Open University of China. He regularly offers lectures and workshops on study skills, around the world. He is a regular guest on South African radio and serves as a mentor and coach to emerging researchers across South Africa.
