Abstract

The Chrysalis Academy runs a residential programme to NEET youth aged 18-25. It serves as a bridging programme for young people seeking employment, re-entry into schools and further education opportunities. Its holistic approach which is structured, regimented and therapeutic in nature is aimed at building resilience among youth who by and large experience a continuum of trauma. Its approach cultivates personal transformation and family integration. Developing a culture of inclusivity among youth is viewed as critical to building voice and agency.  This presentation will specifically focus on the Academy’s inclusivity practices towards building resilience.
