Mrs. MacTaggart grew up in Manchester, Iowa, where she attended West Delaware High School. After high school, she attended Luther College, where she majored in teaching, with an emphasis on physical education and health. She also was a four year starter for the Luther volleyball team.
After college, Mrs. MacTaggart moved to Cedar Rapids and began teaching at College Community School District. She taught physical education at Prairie Middle School for one year and at Prairie Heights Elementary for six years.
In 2015, Mrs. MacTaggart was given the opportunity to move back to Manchester and continue her teaching career at West Delaware School District. She taught physical education at the middle school and high school for three years and has been teaching physical education at Lambert Elementary since 2018.
Mrs. MacTaggart lives in Manchester with her husband and three children, Will, Ava, and Reid. In her free time, she enjoys bike riding, swimming, playing volleyball, doing yoga, playing with her children, taking pictures, watching movies, reading, and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Green Bay Packers.
