SICSA AAL Summer School

August 6 - 8th, 2019

The SICSA Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) Summer School is Scotland's first ever summer school designed to allow students to explore key concepts for the design of advanced AAL systems.

The 3-days summer school is co-organised and facilitated by researchers from Heriot-Watt University and the University of St. Andrews and hosted at the Edinburgh campus of Heriot-Watt University

The AAL Summer School materials are available online here.

The summer school will include lectures in the Postgraduate Centre and laboratory sessions at the Robotic Assisted Living Testbed, part of the Edinburgh Centre for Robotics.

The program includes presentations from representatives from industry and healthcare organisations, in addition to lectures and tutorials on sensing, linked data, machine learning and robotics for AAL applications.

A hackathon will run throughout the 3 days. Prizes to the best AAL concepts and prototypes will be awarded at the end of day 3.
