Welcome! Thank you for your interest in the Human Dimensions of Global Change (HDGC) Specialty Group (SG) of the American Association of Geographers (AAG). Our mission is to promote the varied interests of geographers who are united by research, teaching, and service that involves the human dimensions of processes in coupled human-environment systems at local to global scales. Each fall the HDGC Board of Directors comes together to plan the annual meeting of the AAG which takes place in the spring. At the AAG meeting, we sponsor a wide variety of sessions, organize symposiums, invite distinguished leaders in the field to give key note addresses, honor awardees, and co-sponsor the Unruly Natures party with the Cultural and Political Geography (CAPE) and the Energy and Environment Specialty Groups. We hope you’ll participate in planning the next meeting, and join us at one or more sessions.
