This is a fun one, very clever. Interesting concept.

This is a really good story, very well done, and with a great (leading) cast.
But the real draw here is the issue, and the skill with which it is addressed:
How well do societies, even advanced ones, conform to change?
Part of the story development was: "a historical point of inspiration, Galileo's trial by the Catholic Church".
