During the UNC school year (August through May) a parking permit is required to park in the Chancellor Square lot. If you are going to park in the lot during the school year be sure to get a permit - cars without a permit may be towed! A permit is not required for June and July. Parking permits are only available for residents of Chancellor Square.
Two permits are available for each unit, both valid for the entire school year. Each can be purchased from the management company beginning in August, for the upcoming school year - they will send an announcement. The fee for 2025-26 is $995 (for the entire school year).
To purchase a permit contact the Association Manager, Jessica Creathorne, at (919) 240-4045 x106 or jcreathorne@rpmpropertypros.com.

All you need to do is to establish electrical service with Duke Energy. The owner or manager will set up water/sewer service through the condo association.
A trash dumpster & recycling bins are located adjacent to the entrance to the parking lot at Church Street.
Do NOT set the thermostat to the emergency heat setting ("Emerg Heat", "Em. Heat", "Emerg") unless it is winter and the heat pump is unable to heat the condo. That would be very unusual; if this is the case call or text the owner. The emergency heat setting is expensive because it uses a lot of electricity & should only be used in an emergency (hence its name). A more detailed explanation is here.
Ensure that:
the switch that controls it is on:
in #A2 the switch is on the wall to the left of the sink, as you face it;
in #D10 the switch is on the wall to the left of the sink, as you face it.
the breaker is not tripped. Open the electrical panel (on the wall next to the front door) and reset the breaker by pushing it to full off then pushing it to full on:
in #A2 the breaker is on the right at location 7
in #D10 it is on the right at location 8.
The switch for the garbage disposal is to the left of the sink in #A2, and to the right of the sink in #D10. If it doesn't turn on push the red reset button on the underside of the disposal (below the sink) to reset it. If that doesn't work call the property manager.
Make sure the top is closed.
Responsiveness. The property manager is based in Carrboro, and the owner lives in Chapel Hill. That means it is easy for us to take care of problems or maintenance issues - as opposed to asking you to take care of the problem yourself, or asking you to wait "until the next time I am in Chapel Hill”. Each unit is individually owned, and many of the other owners live outside of Chapel Hill - be sure to ask.
