You will use this website to submit your projects. Each project will have its own webpage. For projects that have multiple parts. One webpage will be used to submit all the various parts.
Here are the steps to submitting a project:
- After you are finished debugging your program, upload an icon you want to use for your app. Install this icon for your app under Screen 1 icon on the AI2 Designer page.
- Then click on the Projects tab at the top and then select the "Export Selected Project (.aia) to My Computer." This will create the .aia file that you can later use to recreate your project, share your project with others or modify your project at a later date.
- Now go to the webpage where you project is to be submitted on this website and click on the "Add Files" button at the bottom of the page and upload the .aia file you created.
- Now go back to App Inventor 2 and click on the Build tab at the top and select the "App (save .apk to my computer)" option. This will create an application file (.apk) which can be used to load your app to a user's phone.
- Again, go to the webpage where you project is to be submitted on this website and click on the "Add Files" button at the bottom of the page and upload the .apk file you created.
- Go to your favorite QR code generator and create a QR code for your .apk file.
- Paste a copy of your QR code into the webpage where you are submitting your app.
- If your instructor asks you to do so, take one or two screenshots of your app on your phone. Transfer these pictures to your computer and insert them into your submission page.
- Check to see that you have these items all submitted on your submission page:
- The project .aia file
- The project .apk file
- A permanent QR code
- Any screenshots you are required to submit
