Types of Assessment

There are three main types of examination in English Language and Literature: 

Internal Assessment - This is a formal oral assessment - marked by the teacher and moderated by the board

Coursework: HL Essay. Written in school (DP2) marked by the IB examiners.

External Examinations: Two written examinationss taken at the end of the second year - marked by the IB examiners. (Paper 1- unseen texts and Paper 2 - literature questions)
