Page 60 - 61: The end of the exposition about the cold leaving of the mother leaving the father and son with each other.
Page 62 - 69: Clearer introduction to one of the ruthless 'clans' and the confrontation with a clan member, which resulted in a bullet in his brain when he tried to take the little boy as hostage.
Page 70 - 74: The little boy was upset about the situation while they hid. Then, after a short while, they came back to the road after the clan had left, for the father to retrieve their trolley.
Page 75 - 81: They camped for the night and the boy was cleaned up with the cold river water. As they ate, the boy questioned whether the two of them were the 'good guys' or not, but the father assured him that they were and 'will always be'.
Page 82 - 86 : They head to a town to forage, where they spotted where a smoke was coming from but they did not find much. However, they did hear a dog's bark. That night, they spotted some fires faraway and wondered who they were before falling asleep in a parked car.
Page 87 - 91: As they went foraging after a cold rain, they felt a presence watching them but saw no one. Then, the boy spotted another little boy but he couldn't catch up with him as he ran away. Despite the father being angry, the boy continued to be upset and worried for the little boy.
Exposition in the perspective of another family:
The dog that followed them for 2 days had become a hide. The mother and son could not bear it, and walked away after the boy begged to his father for the dog's life.
