Work times are pretty flexible by arrangement, but most people arrive about 8:45am to prepare for cracking on with work at 9am.
At 10:45 we all get together and have coffee or tea, and biscuits - or cake if it's someones birthday! There are big sofas in the staff rooms, as well as table football and a dart board. You get 15 minutes. Ish.
It's pretty sociable in the staff rooms at lunch time. If there isn't a BBQ, the microwaves in the kitchen can get quite busy. On sunny days, people go for a walk along the sea front in Minehead, or relax on our picnic benches at Roadwater.
At 3:30 we all have tea and biscuits. Like morning break, it's around 15 minutes.
We all understand our responsibility to do what it takes to get a good job done. Sometimes this means the occasional late one. Having said that, we also appreciate a healthy work / life balance and try to get out around 5.
Nobody wears a tie!
Jeans and t-shirt is pretty standard.
Staff in Operations (Assembly, Workshop or Stores) have to wear safety boots which are provided.
In summer we often wear shorts, apart from Stuart who wears shorts for most of the year.
Staff on marketing trips are recommended to make a bit of an effort to look smart. Or at least clean, in a t-shirt.
