Free Antivirus Software is Available

Download antivirus protection for your Windows or Mac personal computer.

Yes, even Macs need antivirus. Don’t risk losing your course work, photos, or (gasp!) music.

Simmons Technology strongly recommends that students, faculty, and staff ensure that their personal computers have up-to-date and active antivirus software installed at all times. All computers connecting to the Simmons network are required to have antivirus protection. Simmons-issued computers have antivirus protection installed, which should not be disabled or removed.

Important note:

Before installing a new anti-virus program, you should make sure that all other antivirus programs are uninstalled before proceeding. Most computers do not perform well if there are two antivirus applications running at the same time. If you need assistance, please contact the Simmons College Technology Service Desk.
