It is an honor and blessing that I begin my twenty-fourth year at Silas Wood and my thirty-sixth as an educator with a wide array of placements including nine years with Dallas Independent School District at Herbert Marucs Elementary and Hillcrest High School and three years at Beaver Lake Middle School in Issaquah, Washington.
I have always helped my students to believe in achieving their very best while encouraging them to put forth maximum effort which I model for them at all times. I'm a bit competitive and will go above and beyond to help my students "win". Even after all these years, my energy level continues to be strong and I am grateful to have spent more than half of my life as a teacher.
Having raised three sons in the district, Adam (WWHS 2010), Jeremy (WWHS 2012), and Nicholas (WWHS 2016), I can share personal testimony that your youngster will have wonderful experiences in South Huntington School District, especially at Silas where two schools merge!
Looking back at the years through many photographs taken since 2002. much has changed in the field of education, especially in the area of technology. We have seen great advancements and are able to access information much more easily than in years past.
As we move ahead through the year, we will change and grow together. I look forward to the journey.
Nicholas, Jeremy, and Adam at Adam's wedding , 2019.
Heart driven and always striving for the greater good for all.
