I am excited to have your children in my class! With your help, I believe we can ensure an exciting and successful school year for your child. Please send your child to school with a backpack EVERY DAY! The children will bring work and notices home daily. Please remove all items in your child's backpack when they come home from school at the end of each day.

Your child will eat lunch in school each day. He/she can buy a school lunch or bring a lunch from home. Your child will receive a lunch card to purchase food. Breakfast and lunch are FREE.
SNACK
SNACK
Your child will need a daily snack packed separately from their lunch and labeled with their name. Please try to send in something nutritious. Some snack suggestions include crackers, cut-up fruit or vegetables, graham crackers, breadsticks, cheese, etc. Please NO peanuts to prevent concerns with peanut allergies. You may also send in a small bottle of water or juice box with the snack. Labeling your child's snack with their name avoids confusion and problems at snack time.

BIRTHDAYS
We will acknowledge all birthdays in class with a song and a small gift from the teacher. The birthday boy/girl will be made "king/queen" for a day. Their name will be announced over the loudspeaker and your child will have a special visit from the principal/assistant principal and receive a birthday pencil. You can send in NON-EDIBLE party favors if you wish to give out to the class.

ABSENT NOTE
Remember to write an absence note for your child every time they are absent from school. Even if you call the office to let us know your child will be out, we still need an absence note. You can send us a note via e-mail, or send it in with your child when they return to school.
