Every child is assigned to an official homeroom or classroom teacher. The children in my homeroom (Mrs. DeNuzzo's homeroom) are known as the "HAPPY KINDERS." Mrs. Mena's homeroom children are known as the "SHINING STARS." Each homeroom will switch between learning in English and Spanish throughout the week. The goal is that all children learn an equal amount of time in each language.

Your child will ALWAYS stay with the children in his/her homeroom, and they will ALWAYS have the same schedule for lunch, recess, and specials (gym, library, art, and music).  The only change is that they learn in a different language on alternate days of the week.  The curriculum is the same as in any other kindergarten class, only your child will be learning in two languages!
