Paired t-test

The Student’s t-test is a statistical test that compares the mean and standard deviation of two samples to see if there is a significant difference between them. In an experiment, a t-test might be used to calculate whether or not differences seen between the control and each experimental group are a factor of the manipulated variable or simply the result of chance.

Data Analysis (Sample Result)

Null Hypothesis: There is no difference between the means of the 2 groups, the 2 group samples come from the same population

Alternative Hypothesis: There is a difference between the means of the 2 groups, 2 groups samples come from a different population

Use a Student-T test (type is placed here).

Student-T probability =

If the probability is less than .05 this means that the probability of selecting the alternative hypothesis when the null hypothesis should really be supported is very low. This indicates that there is a statistically significant difference between the means of the 2 groups.
