The National Honor Society for Dance Arts sponsored by NYSDEA and NDEO recognizes high school students who excel in dance. Through participation in multiple classes and dance activities at Walt Whitman High School, students acquire points. When the student acquires 30 points, they may be inducted into the NHSDA. Inductees are honored in a ceremony at the end of the school year where they will be presented with a certificate, pin and cord to be worn at graduation.
