School Reading Challenge

What if I already read the book?  Does that count?

The book needs to either be started or finished during the month that it is chosen for.  If it was read in a different month, it does not count for this challenge.

Can I read a picture book for this challenge?

You can read up to one (1) picture for the challenge over the course of the year.  Once you read one picture book, you must read other books for the other challenge months.

Can I read manga for this challenge?

Yes, you can read manga for this challenge -- up to 4 over the 8 months.

Can I read graphic novels for this challenge?

Yes, you can read graphic novels -- up to 4 over the 8 months.

Can I enter more than once per month?

Yes! As long as each entry works with the theme for that month, you can enter as many times as you read a matching book.

Is this challenge required reading?

Nope. This a fun reading challenge and is not required (though it is encouraged).  Make sure you are fulfilling your ELA reading requirements first.

What are the prizes?

Monthly prizes will be fun fidgets, squishies, puzzle games, stress toys, special school supplies, and things like that.  End-of-year prizes will be bigger & more significant.

How do the prizes work?

Any student who submits a relevant book they have read on the student reading challenge entry form will be entered into a drawing to win a prize.  Students who participate in at least 6 of the monthly challenges will be in the running for a bigger prize at the end of the year.
