Parents, you are now in close communication with the AW5 Crew. Since your fifth-graders are with us all day long, it is easy to feel disconnected from them! Here is how to use this resource:
LAUNCHPAD:
The Launchpad is your landing place for the Spacestation website.
There are many helpful resources on this page. The calendar in Upcoming Events can help to prepare for future fifth-grade activities as well as all-school happenings. Character Corner allows you to know what we talk about in Crew meetings each month. Parent FAQs is a good resource for answers to any burning questions you may have about Fifth Grade. The Grade 5 Homework Planner can be found here. The Dashboard is a sub-page that gives students (and parents) quick access to resources and curricula used in the classroom. CURRICULUM:
If you are curious about what topics are covered in Math, ELA, and SSS (Social Studies and Science), this is the place to go. Additionally, there are resources for all fifth-graders that help support what they are learning throughout the year.

Each month the 5th grade team focuses on two design principles of Expeditionary Learning. One of those changes each month and one of those (Solitude and Reflection) Is a focus throughout the school year. Please chat with your fifth-grader about which principle we are working on this month in order to help her/him become the best individual s/he can be!
