How to show kindness
by Isabella
One day I was at Metro Market and I wanted to buy a notebook, but I didn't know how much money it was. I was looking for a platform to count my money on and I saw a box out of the corner of my eye so I took out all my change and started to count how much change I had.
When a lady got my attention, I didn't realize this at the time but she took three dollars out of her pocket and tried to get my attention. Then I saw her and she was holding three dollars.
I said, “No you don't have to.” But she said, “Here you go,” and handed the three dollars to me.
That made my day, I thought to myself. She was so nice to me so I looked at the money I had left over and I saw one dollar so I thought to myself, I'll buy her a card. So I looked at the one dollar cards and I grabbed that card and went to the cash register. After I bought the card I realized she had left, so I thought to myself maybe I'll find her again.
That day I was so happy but I felt bad I didn’t get a chance to give her that card. But I knew she felt happy. That night I wrote in the notebook she gave me, “Without the person who gave me three dollars I would not have you” and closed my book and went to bed.
