Prop 51 CTE Facilities Project
Prop 51 CTE Facilities Project
In 2020, Tomales High School and the Shoreline Unified School District were fortunate recipients of a Proposition 51 Career Technical Education (CTE) Facilities Program grant. Proposition 51 included $500 million to construct and modernize high school CTE facilities, as well as purchase equipment on high school sites. Shoreline Unified School District was awarded up to $3 million to create a new agriculture facility that would include a classroom, kitchen, greenhouse, and a shop storage structure to be able to expand agriculture course offerings to students at Tomales High School. Tomales High School’s goal with the addition of this facility is to enhance already offered courses, but also to be equipped to add a Farm to Table course that would immerse students into the food science and agritourism sectors of agriculture, and our community.
We cannot wait for construction to begin in 2024, and to be able to move into our new facilities for the 2024-2025 school year!
Special thanks to the Alvin James Hansen Foundation for their generous contribution towards our project!
