Forms for meditation

Move if you need to during meditation quietly and with awareness. Take care of your knees and body. Keep your back straight.

We sit so that we can be visible on camera.

You are welcome to have coffee or tea during the meditation period.

Relax and sit upright. I keep my eyes open. If I am sleepy it works for me to open my eyes wider and raise my line of vision upwards. If I am distracted, usually I lower my eyes and close them a little bit.

Body and breath and watching is pretty much what I do.

Oh, it is a good idea if you want to add a construct, say to direct kindness or compassion before you cast off and sit upright.

Experiment. What helps you ease off. Incorprate things that work for you in your period of meditation.

Ease, Joy and Attention are pretty good signs that you are on the right road.

There are tons of online meditation instructions. Most are good. But you need to find the one that works for you and when you do, use it.

We chant at the end of the meditation.

May all beings know happiness and the causes of happiness. May all beings be free from suffering and the causes of suffering. May all beings never be separated from the great happiness that is beyond all misery. May all beings dwell in equanimity, unaffected by attraction and aversion.
