My wife and I moved from San Francisco Zen Center in late summer 2015. Our destination was Bainbridge Island, a small island 35 minutes from downtown Seattle.

We have found a home here and a community. 

For several years, we sat together at the Bodhi Center here on Bainbridge. At the same time, we dreamed of a broader community and a way to sit everyday with friends.

So we began to extend sitting, to online and virtual sittings each weekday morning. Then we added a Sunday morning sitting each month. 

Now we have found our home and congregation both online and on the island. 

Although we don’t have lectures, rituals or services, we sit as lay friends, supporting each other through meditation and dialogue in an inquiry into the Dharma. 

The Dharma and our sincerity and openness to each other teaches us and in turn we share freely what we have learned.
