English Playlet Contest: This contest is held at the beginning of the second semester. Classes of the 8th and 11th grade take part in the contest. The whole class is divided into several groups. Each of us is busy doing something. In addition to the vivid acting of the actors on the stage, hard work is shared behind the scenes, such as script writing, stage make-up, prop and costume making, music and sound effects. As hard work is shared, so is honor and achievement.

Since1997, we have attended the National English Playlet Contest for high schools. The plays we have acted include ：Taming of the Shrew, Into the woods,

Gianni Schicchi, People Like It, Wu Song and Chin Lian. Year after year, we have won great awards, such as the best script, the best director, the best actress and the best actor, despite the fact that we are from a girls’ school. This brings yet another honor to the school. We are well- known as a school of great achievements in English teaching.
