About

The Charity Bazaar is a significant activity of Sacred Heart Girl's High School and is a tradition held once every other year at the end of October. This activity is designed to encourage students to team up with one another, in an effort to achieve the goal of assisting and caring for those who are suffering and in need at home or abroad.

The fun atmosphere motivates everyone to get involved and helps everyone gain experience. Each class has it's own stall in which students are able to collect money by selling things such as Chinese and Western foods, snacks, crafts, and novelties. Bingo and other imaginative games are also very popular with students.

Each student is in charge of one task. Some may choose to work on publicity posters, stall decorations; some may help with food preparation or selling and garbage categorization. "No plastic" and "Less garbage" are slogans while undertaking all of our activities. Customers are required to bring their own food bowl and cup as well as eating utensils. The garbage is strictly divided and inspectors travel around the bazaar to make sure everyone adheres to the rules. This year with over 2000 people in attendance, a total of two garbage bags were filled!

Thanks to the Charity Bazaar, all of the school staff, parents, alumnae, and students can work together to make a contribution, however small, to society.

Everyone learns to organize, balance a budget, develop their talents, donate money to charity organizations and most important of all, to share love with others.
