Bowmen Pageant
Bowmen Pageant was a competition and fundraiser between twelve teams of two to raise the most money for Doernbecher Children's Hospital. Teams set a goal of how much money they want to raise. All the money raised goes directly to the hospital and there is a pageant at the end of the fundraiser.
“We set a goal at the beginning of the fundraiser, and we worked to raise that amount through the months that we had,” seniors Jamie Levine and Jorja Hermanson said.
Students had to find ways to raise money. It could be through businesses, social media, or doing things when you get a certain amount of money. For example, senior Dallas Rich bleached and dyed his hair to motivate people to donate.
“We reached out to families, friends, neighbors, and local businesses to raise funds,” seniors Easton Christensen and Dallas Rich said.
Students were given a certain amount of time to raise all that money.
“Our goal was to raise $2,000, and thanks to our supportive community, we have been able to surpass that goal,” seniors Ava Beadnell and Kaisley Martin said.
