UNEARTHED
The 2025-2026 FIRST LEGO League (FLL) season, UNEARTHED™, focuses on archaeology, challenging teams to explore the history of tools, art, and innovation to solve future problems. Teams act as archaeologists, using STEM skills to uncover hidden artifacts and stories, with 15 robot game missions and an archaeology-focused innovation project.
This year, we program our bots using PyBricks. PyBricks is a 3rd Party Software that can be used as a replacement for LEGO's official SPIKE PRIME firmware/application.
We use it for gyro, simple forward and turn functions, control attachment motors and sensors, and to easily change the velocity the bot goes at.
After every major change, we save all our latest code/presentations to our shared Google Drive, and from there push it to GitHub.
Our Innovation Project is a LiDAR, Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and a magnetometer, mounted on a drone. It is named HERMES after the Ancient Greek God of Mapping Hermes.
