Shenendehowa FIRST Lego League Robotics Club

The FIRST LEGO League Tri-Building Club (Acadia, Gowana, and Koda middle schools) is Shenendehowa's FLL LEGO robotics club.

 Club members learn to code Spike Primes to complete the robot game, organize and attend club outreach (Expos, Robot Rumbles), and possibly participate on a competition team. Club members also learn and practice important core values: discovery, impact, innovation, inclusion, teamwork, and fun. During the regular season, the club meets once a week.​

Other than the club, there are also competition teams. The competition teams build robots and complete a research project that ties to the theme. During a tournament a teams' work is judged. The are 3 competition levels, which are qualifiers (regionals), state championships, and worlds. 

Although the club might do many of the things a competition team does such as designing robots and attachments and learn about issues within our community, they will not be going to competitions and being evaluated on their work. ​

To join a team that participates in a competition, you must complete the application which includes an essay and teacher/coaches references. (See the tab for How to Join)
