Eligibility Requirements:
Be a high school senior, high school graduate or have a GED equivalent.
Plan to enroll, or be enrolled within 1 year, in an approved trade-related program at an accredited two-year school or institution (i.e. technical/vocational school, community college or training center) in the United States.
Not be an employee or dependent of an employee of the The Home Depot. Employees of The Home Depot and their dependents are eligible to apply for a scholarship from The Homer Fund.
Programs/Career Paths: Carpentry, Construction Management, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing.

Ford Philanthropy and Ford Dealers have teamed up to welcome the next generation of auto technicians by awarding $5,000 tuition scholarships to students pursuing careers in auto, diesel or, auto/diesel technology. This need-based scholarship is applied to a student’s school tuition account and may be used for all cost of attendance, including tuition, tools, living expenses and transportation. Eligibility

3. It is preferred that applicants live within the counties of the AGCVA Valley District which

Warren counties.
4. Applicant must be applying to or currently enrolled in an accredited institution including
technical/training centers, community colleges, or colleges/universities.
5. Applicant must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
6. Previous applicants, including previous scholarship recipients, may apply each year.

The Virginia Department of Aviation offers the Willard G. Plentl Sr. Aviation Scholarship for a Virginia high school senior planning an aviation career in a non-engineering area. A certification of acceptance into a nonengineering, aviation-related postsecondary education program is required. Examples of non-engineering aviation careers include (but are not limited to) pilots, aviation maintenance technicians, aviation managers, etc. Scholarship applicants must have an unweighted GPA of at least 3.5. This scholarship will be awarded each year and is renewable. See APPLICATION for more details. Due February 28th, 2026.
Scholarship Details:
Eligibility: Local community members living in the cities of Harrisonburg, Staunton, Waynesboro, or the counties of Augusta, Shenandoah, Page, or Rockingham.
Award Amount: One full-tuition scholarship (up to $30,000) will be awarded to a member of the surrounding community annually between 2025-2029.
Application Window: December 1, 2025, through February 13, 2026.
The Connex Foundation will award scholarships up to $5,000 each in 2026 to individuals pursuing a career in the skilled trades (example: electrical, plumbing, welding, HVAC/R, carpentry), construction and/or facility management industry. The scholarships will be awarded to deserving Canadian individuals and deserving U.S. individuals.
The deadline to submit an application for consideration is Sunday, February 15, 2026.
Scholarship Criteria
Be a United States or Canadian citizen or permanent legal resident
At a minimum, a graduating high school senior or equivalent (GED)
Plan to enroll as a full-time student
Have a cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent Canadian grade-point scale)
Have a history of active involvement in extra-curricular activities, community service, or work experience
Scholarships for graduating seniors from any Shenandoah County public high school, including Triplett Tech. Winners are selected based on character, academic achievement, and school/community involvement. Although scholastic grades are very important to this scholarship, grade point average is not the deciding factor.

The Woodstock Lion’s Club is partnering with F d Neal Construction and offering two $500.00 scholarships for two graduating seniors from Triplett Tech planning to further their respective trade or to purchase trade tools. Criteria reviewed by the Lion’s Club to select the award recipient: academic success, school and community involvement, future. Application is due to Ms. Lynn by March 27, 2026.

The Levy Changing Lives Scholarship is for ambitious students with a 2.0 or greater who wish to continue their education after high school. Exceptions may be considered and granted by the selection panel. This may be done in partnership with Opportunity Scholars, Inc. of Winchester.
A Levy Changing Lives Grant would be for a single enabling event such as the purchase of uniforms, tools, safety equipment, and supplies.
PURPOSE. It is designed to help the students earn either a two-year degree or a trade certificate in a high demand area. The additional education should support immediate employment after graduation or be transferable to a four-year program. The scholarship should be thought of as an enabler for continued education or employment. Expenses such as tuition, lab supplies, tools, and transportation are appropriate reasons for award or an additional one- time grant.
RECIPIENTS. Students should have passion for the chosen area of study and a strong desire to build career skills and to contribute to society as well as meeting their own long-term goals as well as those of their family. Recipients are required to provide periodic progress updates to the selection committee or to Opportunity Scholars, Inc. of Winchester, VA, as appropriate. These check-ins-completed once per semester or twice during a working year- may include academic performance, attendance, progress toward credential or degree completion, and any challenges impacting success. Opportunity Scholars will share information with the selection committee who will share with the donor.
AWARD. The scholarships are to be awarded annually in early spring to ensure continuity of effort for the recipients. Scholarships with a total value of up to $7500 will be awarded at Triplett Business and Tech School and the same amount at Stonewall Jackson High School. Scholarships will be presented at the annual awards celebration hosted by the school.
APPLICATION. Application may be made in writing using the Levy Application document.
SELECTION. The recipients will be chosen by a 3-person panel based on the written application and personal knowledge of the applicant by the teachers, counselors, and panel members. The applicant must appear in person for a brief interview with the panel. The donor may sit on the panel or designate a representative with full proxy voting rights.
Deadline for the application is April 13th, 2026.
Eligibility: The applicant must be a graduating high school senior in good standing from the Shenandoah County Public Schools and enrolled in the Criminal Justice class at Triplett Tech.
Applicants must complete this application and enclose a typewritten essay (on 81⁄2 x 11 paper) of 500 words or fewer outlining why you have chosen a law enforcement career.
Applicant, please attach a résumé listing school and community leadership positions, activities, sports, honors/awards received, and work experience.
Deadline: Applications and accompanying paperwork must be submitted to the Town of Mount Jackson Chief of Police on or before April 15th of each academic year.
