OVERVIEW
Online Class Requirement for All Students
All Cedar students will now have one online class for Wednesdays during the 2nd trimester. Advisors will enroll students (most often in PE), and instructions will be sent directly to the student’s Skyward email.
Christina Patrick cpatrick@sheltonschools.org is the teacher of record for these online courses.
Additional Opportunities
Wednesdays also open space for student agency and choice. As community or on-campus opportunities arise—such as seminars, guest speakers, or activities—I will post them in the section below.
Transportation Reminder
Buses run to and from Cedar as usual on Wednesdays, but there is no transportation to additional sites.
If your student attends SHS or New Market, please check with the office about Wednesday bus options.
Cedar & Choice Wednesday School
Some students may be referred by a teacher to attend Wednesday School. Sessions run 8–11 AM or 11–2 PM in the Vibe Room, supported by our skilled paraeducators who help students complete work.
Required Wednesday Reflection
Each Wednesday, all students must log what they did for their Wednesday learning experience:
This could include their online class, homework time, community involvement, personal development, or other meaningful work. All of these activities support students’ short- and long-term goals, community connection, self-care, and academic needs—the core of our HOPE practices.
