Tool Loans

Hand tool kits and drill kits are available for loan on a daily basis or for longer term loans. 

The tool kits give a good range of  high quality hand tools to cover general day to day workshop use. More specialised tools are available at the staff desk in the hand tools workshop - and these are for use in the workshop.

Borrowing the kits 

Tool kits may be loaned from the counter. When you borrow a tool kit you must show your UCard and you must have already signed the online tool agreement form. Staff will check the toolkit is correctly equipped and your loan will be recorded on our central database.

Returning the kits

Please dust off the tools and box. If anything has broken let the staff know when you return the kit. If it's reasonable wear and tear you won't be charged. If you lose items however we will ask you to pay a £30 fine for small items and up to £300 for expensive items. The toolkit is your responsibility while on loan. If the kit is lost or stolen you will be asked to pay a £300 fine to cover the full replacement cost.
