PHY300 Study abroad (120 credits)
A student shall take an approved programme of study at an institution selected from the University's list of Study Abroad exchange partners. During this period the student will undertake programmes of study, and attain a standard deemed satisfactory by the Faculty, taken in the host institution which shall carry the value of one hundred and twenty credits. A student who fails to satisfy this requirement may be required by the Faculty to become instead a student for the Degree of BSc in Physics and Astrophysics with Study Abroad (PHYU37). The Examiners may, in their discretion, recommend that a student who obtains a weighted mean grade of less that 59.5 be permitted to continue as a student for the Degree of MPhys Physics and Astrophysics with Study Abroad (PHYU25). A student who fails to pass their year abroad may be required by the Head of Department to become instead a student for the Degree of MPhys Physics and Astrophysics (PHYU11).
