Your placement offers are important to us. Placements are integral to Pharmacist training, supporting students to put their learning into practice. Through observation and hands-on practical experience, students develop their knowledge, skills and confidence. Placements enable students to understand more fully the expectations that are required of them as a qualified Pharmacist. We need to work together to support their journey towards registration to become your future workforce.
We would like to say a big thank you in advance, for your help, cooperating and collaborating in our aim to achieve this successfully.
Students will be expected to attend their allocated placement time.
Sickness
If a student cannot attend as they are too unwell, they must inform the placement provider as soon as possible, ideally before their allocated start time (and latest by 9.30am)
Students must also contact the MPharm team using the absence notification form.
Students will need to attend at least 80% of their placement for their university assessments.
Non attendance
1. Students with exceptional circumstances will be offered a supplementary placement period within the term-time period
2. Students without exceptional circumstances that do not attend their allocated placement may be offered a placement during the university holiday period depending on capacity.
