We ask all participants to be wary of emails from people purporting to be working on our behalf. Please remember: LMS-Sheffield Symposia never uses third parties to do our administration for events: messages will come directly from LMS-Sheffield Symposia staff. If you have any doubt about an email you receive please contact us. If you receive an email or a call from a third party offering to book your accommodation in Sheffield or asking you to register please ignore and delete. If you have any concerns about the validity of a message please contact us.
What the LMS Symposium has agreed to support (/reimburse) for attendees (be this speakers, students, or non-speakers) is different depending on the requests of the organisers. It is likely the case that what you are able to reclaim will have been communicated to you by the organisers.
Notes:
If you are unsure about what you are able to reclaim, contact lms-sheffield-symposia@sheffield.ac.uk and copy in the local contact organiser of your particular workshop (these people are listed here). Please do not book anything (such as travel) if you are hoping for it to be paid by the symposium without confirmation that the symposium will cover this.
If the organisers have not explicitly said that an aspect will be covered by the symposium, then you should not expect it to be and absolutely not claim for it.
Form to complete: Non-staff (i.e. staff who are not University of Sheffield staff) claimants use the appropriate claim form linked on the right (and available here).
