The LMS Sheffield Symposium is made possible thanks to generous sponsorship provided by the following organisations:
The Applied Probability Trust is a not-for-profit foundation for study and research in the mathematical sciences. It was founded in 1964 and is governed by an international board of trustees. The Applied Probability Trust’s main focus is the management of its flagship journals: The Journal of Applied Probability and Advances in Applied Probability.
ICMS stimulates and promotes the mathematical sciences through diverse international workshops & conferences. Our vibrant events programme attracts leading mathematical scientists from the UK and internationally - connecting mathematical communities across the world. In addition to workshops, ICMS manages a number of other mathematical activities, such as our very popular Research-in-Groups programme; an extensive knowledge exchange programme; public engagement; and by giving administrative support to a number of mathematical groups.
The Isaac Newton Institute is a national and international visitor research institute. It runs research programmes on selected themes in mathematics and the mathematical sciences with applications over a wide range of science and technology. It attracts leading mathematical scientists from the UK and overseas to interact in research over an extended period.
The London Mathematical Society has, since 1865, been the UK learned society for the advancement, dissemination and promotion of mathematical knowledge. Our mission is to advance mathematics through our members and the broader scientific community worldwide.
The School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences is home to experts in chemistry, physics, astronomy, mathematics and statistics. Our research spans the length and breadth of mathematical and physical sciences and provides the basis for a substantial and varied portfolio of research grants, collaborations with industry, international academic collaborations, and research institution partnerships.
