Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) is at the heart of the Deep End Research Alliance. 

We are privileged to work with a group of 12 individuals from a variety of ethnic minority and underserved communities across South Yorkshire and Humber. 

Established in 2017, many of the founding members are still active within the group. This wealth of research experience has earnt them a reputation for being honest, insightful and engaging. We regularly work with researchers that travel from all over the UK to meet with the DERA PPI group. 

Their perspectives are highly valued and they continue to provide feedback that has helped to shape many different healthcare research projects.
