All Postgraduate Research students, including Staff Candidates, are required to register on arrival before they can start their programme of study at the University. The registration process is made up of a series of different tasks - some tasks that you can do on your own online (pre-registration) and some that we need to do for you as part of the main Registration event. The more you complete before you arrive, the less time it will take to finish the process when you get here.
On registration you will gain access to the University’s online systems and much else besides in the way of information and support.
You are also required to attend relevant induction events run by the University, the Faculty of Social Sciences, and the White Rose Doctoral Training Partnership.
And, very importantly, your supervisory team will be confirmed. You should meet your supervisory team as soon as possible after registration, in order to plan your first few weeks of study. You should also carry out a Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify the training you will undertake in your first year (see further information on Training Needs Analysis in the 'Doctoral Development Programme' section).
The Faculty Induction meeting will take place on:
Date: 2 October 2023 Time: 14.30 - 15.30 Venue: Medical School Lecture Theatre 1
