301 offers a flexible, modern space with a range of services and activities to support your academic skills development.
To make sure you get the most out of your course, it is important to evaluate your study skills to make sure they work in a different learning environment. You can then enhance the skills you already have to perform at your best or learn new skills to help you adapt. Our current students and graduates have used the services at 301 to help them develop both academically and personally by utilising the range of support services, resources and activities at the Centre. They have found support for improving maths and writing skills particularly useful. Details of services available can be found at: www.shef.ac.uk/ssid/301/services
Coming to university isn't just about seminars, lectures and exams. This might include getting to know people from different cultures and backgrounds, learning a new language, learning to think in different ways and developing study skills and techniques to help you achieve your potential. Many of our students have found that 301 has helped them identify the best ways to develop skills and which activities will suit them best.
