University Interviews

Who gets invited for a University Interview?

Not everyone gets invited to interview. If you haven't been invited for an interview it doesn't meant they don't want you, it just means that your university or course don't do them.

But there are still a large number of interviews taking place each year, particularly for courses leading to the healthcare professions and for the most competitive subjects at the most competitive universities. The resources here are largely on this topic, but the content is relevant for all course interviews.

Things are a little different than they were Before Covid, with most interviews taking place by video link rather than in person.

It means too that MMIs - see the document on the right - might well be a thing of the past, for now. But the interview process is slicker and more polished than it was last year as more universities get used to using Zoom, Teams or Meet.

That means that you should be prepared to face elements of an MMI - things like scenario handling and ethical questions - as part of your interview process.
