This is a 5-day training course aimed at introducing learners to coding and the basics of software development:
Monday 31st March to Friday 4th April.
Introduction to Cyber Security
This is a 5-day training course aimed at highlighting the risks posed by cybercrime and the effect it has on individuals and organisations:
Monday 7th to Friday 11th April.
Following completion of these courses, progression routes are available onto the following opportunities:
Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Coding
Award in Cyber Security Level 2
All learners must be 19+* at the start of the Academic Year.
* Learner age is determined at the most recent 31st August.
All learners must present valid ID at enrolment.
This course is available on a fully-funded basis for learners who are:
Unemployed and in receipt of benefits**
or
Employed part time/ on a low wage
** Eligible benefits include UC, JSA, ESA, DLA, PIP.

All learners are required to declare any Criminal Convictions at enrolment. Where a conviction is declared, enrolment will be at the discretion of the College’s Safeguarding Team.

Learners should report to Reception on day 1 of the course, where they will be met by the tutor.
Please note: There is no parking* available on site. Learners are encouraged to make alternative arrangements or use public transport.
* Blue badge holders may request access to the car park by talking to enrolment staff ahead of the course.
Following successful completion of the course, learners will gain one of the following qualifications (depending on which course is completed):
Level 1 Award in Coding
Level 1 Award in Cyber Security
Ahead of training, all learners must attend an information and enrolment session in person to find out more about the course and to complete necessary pre-course paperwork.

Reading glasses (if you need them)
ID
Biometric Residence Permit (if applicable)
Proof of benefits or earnings (as applicable)
