For your Silveer Award, you must undertake your chosen Volunteering activity for 6 or 12 months.
The volunteering activity needs to be a regular activity of approximately 1 hour a week for 3 to 18 months depending on the Award level. The volunteering role could be in many different forms such as; coaching, teaching and leadership, Community action and awareness-raising, helping a charity or community organisation, helping people or working with the environment or animals. These roles could be with a sports team or club, your old School, a youth club or organisation such as Scouts or Guides, a national Charity or any organisation where the role covers one of the sections above. The role could be something you already do or it could be something you are planning to do to support your course. For example, if you are on a Sports course and you want to do your work experience with a local football club, this could also count towards you DofE Volunteering section as long as it meets the time requirements.
The WBL team can help you find opportunities related to your course.
