Year 7
Year 7 Languages is made up of three modules - one each of French, Spanish and Te Reo Māori.
The course is designed to develop the students understanding of Māori Language and Tikanga, French language and culture, and Spanish language and culture.
introduction to French - focus is on pronunciation and a basic understanding of simple sentence structures
developing confidence in using everyday classroom French
developing familiarity with commonly used vocabulary
exploration of French culture through songs, structures in society and traditions.
completing tasks towards earning St Hilda’s French badges.
