Math

Expectations

For students who earned a 70% or lower would like to earn points back on the test.

On a separate sheet of loose leaf you will write down the problem number you got wrong. then you will tell me why the problem is wrong and what the correct answer is and why.

I will give half points back to each questions that is done correctly.

It must be turned in the next day of a test being passed back.

You must turn in the original test and the sheet of loose leaf you did your work on.

DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING ON ORIGINAL TEST!

For students who earn a 6/10 or lower on math attacks

You can earn points back if you take the math attack the day after it has been returned. You will need to inform Mrs. Engdale you will be redoing the math attack and it will be schedule at 7:15 to 7:35 in the morning. You will come right to Mrs. Engdale's room and then return the gym.

Math attacks are given twice a week and consist of 20 basic multiplication, subtraction, addition, or division problems. Students should be studying their basic facts daily. There are 20 problems and each problem is worth a 1/2 point.

Students are only allowed to use pencils in math. If they use pen or any other than pencil it will result in a 2 point deduction.

Absent

If your student is going to be absent please reach out and let me know. I will help them when they return.

Missing Assignments

Students will have an "m" in FACTS letting you know the assignment is missing. It will calculate an "m" as a 0 and will alter the grade until the assignment is turned in. I will deduct 2 points from late work. Assignments should be turned in ASAP. I will not accept missing assignments after the end of a quarter. It will result in a 0 if assignments have not been turned in by end of quarter.

Cheating

I have a zero cheating policy. This includes talking, passing notes, looking at another's work during a test, check-in, pop quiz, or math attack. It will result in an automatics zero. The student will not be able to earn points back on this either.
