Team Challenge
Mrs. Hall’s Classroom Management Plan
What is Team Challenge?
Students will be working together with their grade-level team. The challenge will focus on students’ attitude and effort. Students will earn (or lose) points based on their individual and team behaviors. The goal of the team challenge is to promote a positive working environment while teaching students how to work with one another to achieve a goal. Their first goal will be to create a team name, symbol, and banner. There will be other challenges presented throughout the school year.
How can Team Challenge Points be earned?
During the first few days of school, students will work together to determine which behaviors will earn or lose points. Once this list has been determined, I will send it out to parents.
Mrs. Hall also has the ability to issue BONUS points as she sees fit!
How will Team Challenge Points be used?
Two Fridays a month, students will have Team Meetings. During this time, they will check in with each other on their academic and personal goals. We will also announce the winning team. The team with the most points will get to spin the wheel to see which reward they have earned. Each team member will get the reward.
In addition, at the end of each quarter, the team with the most accumulated points will earn a big reward (donuts, PJ Day, cookies, etc.) The students will decide at the beginning of the year what the rewards will be for each quarter.
How can I monitor my child’s progress?
I will be keeping track of each groups points through Class Dojo. You should be able to access your child’s contributions through the app. If you need help with this, please let Mrs. Hall know.
