Laptop/Chromebook Classroom Use Policy (CUP)
The use of technology and the internet is a privilege, not a right! In order for students to keep their privileges, they must follow district and classroom use policies. Teachers and administrators can and will monitor student use of technology, internet histories, files, etc. It is essential to remember that these computers were purchased to be educational tools, not toys or entertainment. Students and/or parents are encouraged to report any violation of policies!
Students WILL use the computer for academics.
Students WILL only send messages and access materials that are appropriate for school use.
Students WILL only use sites and search engines approved by teachers for research.
Students WILL close the computer and quietly let the teacher know if an inappropriate site or pop-up should appear on my screen.
Students WILL respect classroom property (no food, drink, horsing around, etc.).
Students WILL obey all copyright laws.
Students WILL ask before printing anything and then show patience by only selecting the print button once.
Students WILL keep all personal information private and access only files and information approved by the teacher(s).

Having technology in our classroom enhances the academic experience and knowledge acquired by students. Learning through technology is filled with endless possibilities, and therefore comes with enormous responsibility. We are honored to teach in technology enhanced classrooms and look forward to an enriching experience as we progress through this year.
