Is There a Way to See Countywide Results?
The CCI data file and record layout (layout is needed to select the correct field) are available on the CDE Web site at https://www.cde.ca.gov/ta/ac/cm/. The files are located under the data files and guide tab. There is a file for each state indicator and the county names are included in the file, so you can sort by county. What Is The Difference Between "Dual Enrollment" & "Concurrent Enrollment" Pertaining to CCI?
Dual Enrollment is the term used to describe community college credit bearing courses that are offered on a high school campus and taught by a high school teacher. The high school teacher must work with the local community college in order to be approved as a Dual Enrollment teacher. Dual enrollment courses need to be identified as “college credit” in the course description in order for CALPADS to identify the course and apply it to the CCI measure.
Concurrent Enrollment is the term used to describe a high school student (some cases middle school student) enrolling in a community college or university credit bearing course outside of the student’s class schedule. For example a student may take an online class, on campus class, or class during the summer semester. For CALPADS clarification Dual Enrollment and Concurrent Enrollment are considered the same. The course needs to be identified as “college credit” in the course description in order for CALPADS to identify the course and apply it to the CCI measure.
How Does CALPADS Identify a High School Course That Receives College Credit?
Aeries:
Changes are being made in Aeries now to support the new CALPADS "Course Non Standard Instructional Level" codes for “23 - College Credit Only” and “24 - Dual Credit”. (April 10, 2020) Note: The Course Level of "40 – College Level" should not be used. All courses with the Course Level of "40 – College Level" should be updated to either the 23 or 24 code.
Below are changes that were just released:
Transcripts Page and Reports:
Courses with a Course Level of "23 – College Credit Only" are not included in the GPA calculation
The credits are not displayed for these courses
A new Transcript Definition option has been added to "Hide Credits if Course Level = 23 (CRS.CL=23)"
The GPA calculation functions have been updated to ignore Course Level "23 - College Credit Only" when performing the calculations.
Courses - A new field for “College State Course Code” has been added under the California Specific Fields tab. This field will only be available if the Course Level is "24 – Dual Credit". If it is populated, it will be used in lieu of the regular State Course Code when extracting. This new field only allows codes for CTE and specific college credit courses.

For The Purpose of the CCI. do courses in the CTE Pathway Need to Be Taught By a CTE Credentailed Teacher?
For the purpose of the CCI, the CDE does not verify that CTE courses are taught by CTE credential teachers. The requirement to have a credential teacher is for schools receiving federal Perkins funding. [CDE Q&A LINK]
Who Receives a modified CCI?
All DASS schools will receive a modified CCI. Rather than using the four-year graduation cohort as the base of students included in the CCI calculations, the DASS graduation rate - which is determined for DASS schools’ Graduation Rate Indicator - is used for DASS schools.
