Social - Emotional Learning

Social-Emotional Learning is the process through which children acquire and effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions. The Sharon City School District has adopted the Committee for Children's Second Step Digital Programs for grades K-8. The programs include classroom lessons and experiences that teach these important life skills to our students. Simply put, these are skills that can help all of us function more effectively at home, at school, in the community, and in the world of work.
