In the fall of 2018, the Wilson School District initiated a comprehensive district-wide feasibility study to assess facility conditions, analyze enrollment projections, and develop a long-term plan to guide future educational infrastructure decisions. As enrollment continues to grow, the District has recognized the need to expand capacity and modernize learning environments to meet students' evolving needs.
The construction of the new Lincoln Park Elementary School represents a key step in addressing both rising enrollment and overcrowding within our elementary schools. The return of a neighborhood elementary school to the Lincoln Park community not only strengthens our educational framework but also reaffirms the District’s commitment to providing equitable, high-quality learning opportunities for all students.
We expect this new school to open for the 2027-2028 school year.
