The Army JROTC Junior Cadet Leadership Challenge (JCLC) is a summer leadership camp designed to develop the confidence, discipline, and teamwork skills of high school students enrolled in Army JROTC programs. Held over several days at military bases, training centers, or college campuses, JCLC offers cadets hands-on experiences through challenging activities such as obstacle courses, land navigation, water survival, and leadership reaction courses. Cadets also participate in physical training, team competitions, and leadership workshops, allowing them to apply what they’ve learned during the school year in a dynamic, real-world setting. Sponsored and supported by the U.S. Army Cadet Command, JCLC is typically free, making it an accessible and rewarding opportunity for cadets to grow personally and professionally while building lasting friendships.
